Prepare an immigration medical appointment using the responsible authority’s authorised process. Organise existing health records for that appointment without substituting a routine check-up or making a medical eligibility judgement.
What the official guidance establishes
For Canadian temporary-resident immigration exams, IRCC directs applicants to a panel physician rather than their own doctor. Its preparation list includes identification, relevant medical reports and current medications. Read IRCC: immigration medical examinations for the original scope and current instructions.
Identify the exam and referral
Record the programme and the instruction that applies to your case. Verify the clinic through the authority’s panel list and ask it about the required booking information. Keep an upfront examination process separate from a case-specific medical request if the instructions distinguish them.
Prepare a private health handover
Gather the records requested by the authorised process and list current medications accurately. Ask the clinic about accessibility, communication needs and any existing records it wants. Keep medical details in a private file, not in a general relocation spreadsheet.
Track the official follow-up
Retain the confirmation or records provided after the examination and follow the relevant submission instructions. Record a further-test request separately. A clinic appointment, a completed exam and an immigration decision should remain different milestones in your tracker.
Your working sheet
This is an optional IMMIGEUROPE planning worksheet, not an official application form or a new document requirement.
| Record | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Authority/process | Exact programme and applicable instruction |
| Clinic | Verified panel listing and booking contact |
| Records | Identification, requested reports and medication list |
| Follow-up | Confirmation and any further instruction |
Worked planning example
A fictional applicant already has recent test results from a personal doctor. They ask the authorised clinic how to bring those records, while keeping the required immigration examination as its own task. Existing results are not relabelled as the immigration exam.
Ask medical questions of the clinician and case-procedure questions of the immigration authority. Keep the next action in the moving planner and use the guide library for the next part of your move.
