Check the correct IND sponsor category and the employer's legal identity before relying on a Dutch recruitment offer. A company appearing in an unrelated register category does not answer the work-route question.

Name the intended permit category

IND's recognised-sponsor register is divided into categories including work, study, exchange and research. The page explains that it can be used to check an organisation's recognition. A recognised sponsor can submit certain residence applications, but the applicant must still investigate the relevant permit requirements. Read IND: Public register recognised sponsors.

A practical example

Suppose an organisation appears in the research register while a recruiter discusses a different employment route. The applicant should ask which entity and route the proposed contract uses. A positive name search by itself does not resolve that question.

Before the next step

Save the relevant register result and current permit instructions with the offer. Ask the employer about any name or category discrepancy. Keep salary, qualification and other applicant requirements as separate source-backed checks.
