Build an immigration-fee budget from the exact official route and each person applying. Keep government charges, service costs and living expenses in different columns with their own sources.

What the official guidance establishes

The UK Student visa guidance lists a visa application fee separately from the healthcare surcharge and states that a visa fee is payable for each joining person. That is a UK route example, not a global fee schedule. Read GOV.UK: Student visa for the original scope and current instructions.

Record the quoted charge precisely

For each official charge, enter the service, applicant, currency, source link and check date. Note whether a later stage has its own charge. If a charge depends on duration or another answer, record the input used rather than copying a headline amount without context.

Keep other costs outside the government-fee subtotal

Create separate rows for documents, translations, examinations, travel and optional assistance when relevant to your plan. Use actual quotes and identify who receives the payment. A private service charge should not be labelled a government visa fee.

Make timing and refund questions visible

Add a due stage and the published refund or cancellation instruction for each payment. Leave unknown amounts blank and assigned to a research action. Keep a receipt after payment and compare it with the budget so duplicate or unexplained charges can be questioned.

Your working sheet

This is an optional IMMIGEUROPE planning worksheet, not an official application form or a new document requirement.

Worked planning example

A fictional student sees a headline visa charge and assumes it covers the full household. The worksheet creates separate applicant rows and a healthcare-surcharge row from the official guidance. The family then researches actual figures instead of multiplying an unsourced package price.

Recheck the source before paying; this guide intentionally avoids a flat total that would hide your circumstances. Keep the next action in the moving planner and use the guide library for the next part of your move.

Go straight to the source.

Use these official resources to check the details that apply to you.
