Build an international CV from genuine work, education and skill records, then adapt its presentation to the actual employer. Keep recruitment style separate from facts later used in an immigration application.

What the official guidance establishes

Germany’s official job-application guidance describes a CV covering work experience, education and language skills and advises reading the advertisement for the requested application documents. Read Make it in Germany: applying for a job for the original scope and current instructions.

Create a source-backed career list

Start with employer names, dates, actual duties, qualifications and language evidence you genuinely hold. Keep the original title alongside an English explanation when needed. Do not upgrade a title or convert a partially completed award into a completed qualification.

Choose relevant evidence for the role

For each important skill, add a concrete task or result you can explain from your own work. Use accurate scope and avoid invented performance numbers. Follow the employer’s language and document instructions rather than assuming one country’s photo or layout convention applies everywhere.

Keep a private CV-to-record map

Connect each role and qualification to the supporting record or referee information available. Mark an unclear date for correction before sending. Retain the version used for each application so later forms and conversations can be checked against genuine history.

Your working sheet

This is an optional IMMIGEUROPE planning worksheet, not an official application form or a new document requirement.

Worked planning example

A fictional applicant’s local job title has no clear English equivalent. They retain the original title and add a plain description of their actual duties. They do not select a more senior English title simply because it resembles a visa occupation category.

Make the CV readable while keeping every factual statement explainable. Keep the next action in the moving planner and use the guide library for the next part of your move.
