Document genuine family support by separating the private agreement from evidence accepted by the destination route. Make the amount, purpose, recipient and payment timing clear to everyone involved.

What the official guidance establishes

UK visitor guidance asks for evidence of what a sponsor provides, how it is provided and the relationship involved. It also addresses the supporter’s ability to support themselves and dependants; this example applies to that visitor route. Read UKVI: visitor supporting-document guidance for the original scope and current instructions.

Write down the genuine arrangement

Record who is offering support, to whom and for which costs. Distinguish a gift, loan, direct payment or accommodation arrangement as it actually exists. Do not create a financial document or transaction history that misdescribes the relationship.

Compare with the route’s evidence rules

Read whether and how the intended route accepts third-party support. Identify the records requested about the supporter, relationship and funds. Keep a family promise labelled as a promise until the required evidence is available; a private agreement cannot determine immigration acceptance.

Plan the transfer and expectations

For household planning, agree timing, currency, recipient and any repayment expectation. Record who covers fees and what happens if the move is delayed. Store personal financial records privately and use only the verified submission channel for application evidence.

Your working sheet

This is an optional IMMIGEUROPE planning worksheet, not an official application form or a new document requirement.

Worked planning example

A fictional relative offers to cover a rental deposit but not monthly rent. The support sheet states that limited purpose and the payment date. The applicant researches the route’s rules independently instead of describing the promise as unrestricted funds already held.

Use a separate household discussion for expectations and an evidence file for the authority’s actual request. Keep the next action in the moving planner and use the guide library for the next part of your move.
